Pick a procedure. The table shows cash and member prices already published on Dental Savings Guide reviews, plus the Careington Sample Schedule 501 member maximum for that code. It does not apply a percent-off to invent a quote.
| Published source | Without a plan | With that plan |
|---|---|---|
| Aetna Dental Savings | $115–$175 | $60–$85 |
| Cigna Dental Savings | $115–$175 | $55–$80 |
| Careington Sample Schedule 501 | Not in the sample | $33 member maximum |
Careington Sample Schedule 501 member maximum at a participating general dentist. Abbreviated sample, not a local quote. Specialists use 20% off normal fees instead of this schedule.
Two routine cleanings (D1110), published cash illustration: $230–$350. Source. That figure is cash only.
Careington individual membership through 1Dental is $149/year with no setup fee, or $14.95/month plus a one-time $30 setup fee. That fee is membership, not the procedure price.
How to read the table
- Aetna and Cigna rows are the retail and member bands on those worth-it answers. They are typical published ranges, not your dentist’s fee.
- The Careington row is a member maximum from the abbreviated 2026 Sample Schedule 501. The sample does not list the cash price, so that cell stays blank of a cash figure.
- Membership is separate. Careington individual is $149/year through 1Dental with no setup fee. Two members are $189/year and a household of 3+ is $199/year, also with no setup fee.
- Ask the participating dentist for the current cash price and member price on the full CDT list before you enroll.
Common questions
Does this estimate my savings?
No. Review bands and the Careington sample come from different sources. Subtracting them would invent a savings number this page does not calculate.
Is a dental savings plan insurance?
No. You pay the membership, then pay the contracted member price at a participating dentist. There is no claim and no annual maximum on the Careington 500 Series.
